How Com2uS created a Global Influencer Tournament to promote the launch of Summoners War: Lost Centuria
South Korean powerhouse Com2uS came out with a blast, launching a successor of their outrageously popular mobile game Summoners War. With millions of fans across the globe and its heart in South Korea, Com2uS launched a live global tournament with over 100 international influencers.
A mix of streamers, pro players and even celebrities attended the live tournament event to battle each other in the new game Summoners War: Lost Centuria.
In an 8 hour broadcast, we collaborated and managed a cross-platform live stream campaign with Com2uS, on YouTube and Twitch. For this campaign, 16 global talents were directly managed by GameInfluencer.
Campaign Goal
For the Summoners War: Lost Centuria campaign we focused on the English & German speaking markets that acted as representatives of their country in the tournament. These 2 markets were also highly fitting for the campaign, as mobile gaming has shown rapid growth in the Western hemisphere.
A total of 16 influencers were chosen, with and without mobile gaming backgrounds to take part in this global event. Our collaborative goal was to acquire global brand awareness and performance for Summoners War by activating international talents across platforms.
Spoiler alert: FanHOTS won the entire tournament!

Fan Engagement
It is great to see that Com2uS successfully activated their launch tournament across the globe, reaching over 1 million players internationally.
With the amount of chat traffic, even at early hours for some streamers, many folks were positively surprised by the outcome of this game.
Mobile gaming has come a long way and Summoners War: Lost Centuria is a great representative of that. The stunning graphics, animations and reactive gameplay left many players interested in downloading this game right at launch. We are looking forward to working with Com2uS again in the future!
