New year – new game releases! 2023 will be a huge year for RPG lovers with major titles such as Baldur’s Gate 3, Final Fantasy XVI, and Diablo 4 anticipated to be released in the summer. In addition, we are looking forward to remakes of Dead Space and Resident Evil 4 while also getting excited about new titles like Atomic Heart and Hogwarts Legacy. Dead Space (Remake)
This month, players will be able to enjoy one of the best sci-fi survival horror classics. The game was rebuilt from the ground up and is ready to offer a more profound and immersive experience. Expect a tense and creepy atmosphere at a vast mining ship overrun with hostile creatures while playing as Isaac Clarke, an engineer who has to fight his way through, survive and save his crew.

Atomic Heart, an FPS action role-playing game, is one of 2023’s most highly-anticipated games. The story takes place in the alternative Soviet Union of 1955, the time of the prospering development of robotics and advanced technology. But, surprise! Robots are starting to turn against humanity. You will play Major Nechaev, a KGB special agent whose first task is investigating the facilities and eliminating the rebelling machines.
The fans of the Metro and Bioshock series will definitely appreciate the game’s art and gameplay. The combat system promises fierce fighting with exciting mechanics and challenging enemies.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a direct sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The story of Cal Kestis continues, and now it is time to face new enemies, enjoy the cinematic combat system, discover new planets and frontiers, and fight to protect the galaxy from descending into darkness. Resident Evil 4 (Remake)
The remake of the 2005 original Resident Evil 4 is coming out this March. The new version will have modernized gameplay, a reimagined storyline, and vividly detailed graphics enhancing the feeling of isolation and eeriness from the original game even more. Play Leon S. Kennedy, one of the survivors of the biological disaster in Raccoon City. Working as an agent for the US government, Leon is now sent to rescue the president’s kidnapped daughter. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the sequel to one of Nintendo’s most beloved games, is coming this May. While Nintendo still has not revealed much about its upcoming project, we could get some insight from the released trailers.
The players will now be able to soar between the floating islands above Hyrule, expanding the playable space and exploring new locations. In addition, Link will gain a suite of new powers thanks to his new magical arm, and the variety of weapons will increase, offering a wooden axe, multiple swords, different shields, bows, and arrows.
The endless battle between the High Heavens and the Burning Hells is coming back. In addition to the main series feature, the fourth part will get an open world and PVP (player versus player) interactions. You will be able to create and customize your character by choosing from five classes: Barbarian, Sorceress, Druid, Rogue, and Necromancer.
Discover the world of Sanctuary as you battle through its expansive lands. Join fellow adventurers, retake besieged towns, delve into corrupted dungeons, and uncover lost secrets as you fight for the world’s fate.
Final Fantasy XVI

Enter the dark fantasy world of Valisthea in this highly anticipated single-player action RPG – Final Fantasy XVI. The game appears to be an incredibly ambitious Final Fantasy title, combining in itself the best features of older titles and the cutting-edge technology of modern games.
Play as Clive Rosfield, First Shield of Rosaria and guardian of his younger brother Joshua. Embrace yourself into challenging battles and cast fireballs or engage at melee range with the sword and warp-like abilities. Also do not forget to enjoy a unique story and have fun riding Chocobos.
Baldur’s Gate 3
Release date: August 2023
Baldur’s Gate 3 is a resurrection of the classic party-based RPG series set in the Forgotten Realms. It’s being modernized by Larian Studios, bringing it in line with the current edition of the Dungeons & Dragons rules. You can play in a single-player or with a team, and there are also options for good and evil playthroughs depending on how you negotiate, deal with enemies and defuse conflicts.
The game has also been in early access since 2020 and became the best-selling game on Steam and GOG.com.
Release date: Fall 2023
Spider-Man 2 has been developed by Insomniac Games in collaboration with Marvel Games and PlayStation for the PS5 console. Though fans currently know very little about the highly anticipated title, there’s speculation that Spider-Man 2 could involve some level of cooperative play, with Miles and Peter Parker both having a part to play in the game’s story. Additionally, with two Spider-Men featured in the game, fans might expect numerous alternate costumes to be featured within Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
With that being said, it is going to be an exciting year for the gaming industry. Let’s hope there are no delays and everyone can enjoy the new titles. Being a huge fan of Final Fantasy XV and the Metro series, I am really hyped about the releases of Atomic Heart with its dystopian sci-fi atmosphere and Final Fantasy XVI because what can be better than riding a Chocobo after a long exhausting fight?
